One very Patriotic family shares how they show off their love of country
Ilidia Nicholas,
Jeannie, our newest Patriot Highlight of the Month, is a city architect that oversees the development of the Main St. Station in Virginia.
Jeannie is pictured above with her family at Gov. Glen Youngkins' inaugural gala. At the event, where they got to see Zac Brown Band perform, she says that everybody was dressed fully decked out in red, white, and blue.
Jeannie and her family chose to wear their favorite patriotic gear from the Flag Shirt to the event. She says their patriotic trio 'stole the show!'
She shares that as children, her mother would make their clothes, and take them to the VA State Capitol fountain on Flag Day. "We looked a little crazy, drenched from head to toe in stars and stripes...as if Betsy Ross and Calvin Klein went into business together."
"My parents met in the U.S. Navy in Virginia, my dad a Lt. Commander, my mother a secretary. We were raised to stand up for the flag, be still during the Star Spangled Banner, and say thank you to our Veterans for having risked it all. My parents taught us how precious freedom is," shares Jeannie.
"Thank you for manufacturing these beautiful shirts!" she says. The Flag Shirt thanks you and your family, Jeannie, for always showing off your patriotism and letting us help you do so!
